Steve Aoki

Steve Aoki was conceived in Miami, Florida on November 30, 1977. American electro-house musician Record producer, D.J. Music executive. He is the son of Rocky Aoki and Chizuru Kbayashi. His father, who was a former wrestler, also co-founded the restaurant chain Benihana. He has two siblings, a sister Kana (who is sometimes called Grace, her middle name) Grace) & brother Kevin (owner of the Doraku Sushi restaurant). Half-sister Devon Aoki is a model and actress. The family was raised in Newport Beach, California and graduated from Newport Harbor High School, which was where he played as a member of the varsity badminton club. He then attended UC Santa Barbara, graduating with two B.A. He graduated with two degrees in sociology, and another in feminist studies. In his college days, he recorded self-made records and hosted underground events from his Biko room in the Santa Barbara Student Housing Cooperative. As a concert venue, the apartment became known as The Pickle Patch. He also was active in student protests at UCSB by being the founder of the Revolutionary Anti-Imperialist League chapter on campus. In his 20s, Dim Mak had established his own record label which he called Dim Mak in honor of his childhood hero Bruce Lee. He came out with I'm In the House in March 2010 in collaboration with Zuper Blahq his alter-ego will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas. The track hit No. The track reached the position of No. 29 on the U.K. Singles Chart within its first week of it's release. It topped the charts on both the U.K. Indie Chart & U.K. Dance Chart. The song was included in MTV's Jersey Shore, as well as in the feature film Piranha and the trailer for Think Like A Man. Interviews with HitQuarters in May 2010 with Lucas Secon revealed that Rivers Cuomo and he had recently collaborated on a single. He was named the highest-grossing North American dance artist by Pollstar in 2012. His collaborations include artists such Afrojack, LMFAO and Linkin Park, Will.i.am. Lil Jon, Blink-182, Laidback Luke. BTS, Louis Tomlinson. Rise Against. Vini Vici & Fall Out Boy. He is well-known for his remixes of artists like Kid Cudi.
